Corporate Chics, the novel explores the life of a young college female transitioning into the corporate world.

All of the emotions and situations that we as females encounter in life and in relationships (disappointments, accomplishments, love, selfishness) is what this woman goes through with her friends.

The character utilizes her experiences to encourage and empower other women.

Corporate Chics (not sheek, Chicks!) is a mindset that is unstoppable, courageous, and inspirational. It is not about women in business suits who exploit their accomplishments. Its a movement and she is U.

A book written for the 21st Century

The story is unique and entertaining because of it's IM (instant messaging) format. With writers being able to self-publish verses waiting on a publishing house, I had to think outside of the box to create something innovative. Everyone communicates in the 21st century through Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, and texting, so I thought making it futuristic, would give me a competitive advantage. It also allows me to connect with you (my audience) in an unique and non-traditional way.

Meet the Main Character

Koilya Privil: First off, my name (let's say it together) is COI-YA. It looks hard but its a simple-ghetto name my mom loved. I am the only child. My brother was killed in war and my father died of health problems shortly after. I am a woman that works in the Corporate world, thus making me a Corporate Chic. People say I am a little bossy and over opinionated, but I see it has Boldness & Confidence. What I've learned through documenting part of my life's journey is that all decisions have built-in consequences: good or bad, so think about that before you make one that could ultimately change your life.
